    From the website

Frontera’s strategy is to seek early opportunities in “known hydrocarbon bearing basins” where historic political or economic conditions have caused significant oil and gas plays to be underdeveloped. To date, the Company has focused its operations activities on the eastern flank of the Greater Black Sea region on the onshore Kura Basin situated between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the nations of Georgia and Azerbaijan, as shown on the map below.

Frontera’s current activities in this area are focused on the exploration and development of the large geographic area associated with Block 12 in Georgia. With Frontera’s significant historical investment, it has undertaken an extensive series of studies, geologic field work and operational work programs that have resulted in the identification of two major geologic plays within the block that contain significant reserve potential that the Company intends to pursue to commercial production.

Historically, Frontera’s work has principally involved the acquisition, processing and interpretation of new 2D and 3D seismic data; reprocessing of historic seismic and well log data; undertaking new and extensive geological field work; carrying out new reservoir engineering studies in some of the existing fields which has entailed workovers of existing wells and the drilling of new wells; other integrated geologic and engineering studies designed to identify prospectivity for new field discoveries within Block 12; and upgrading existing production, transport and export facilities.

I haven't followed this closely, but had a small, quick trade recently and sold out for 80% profit, following a recommendation.

The shares have fallen from a high of about 125p in 2008, but have fallen for many years. Today's share price 0.47p
    http://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/f/frontera-resources-corp-ord-usd0.00004

The rise has been on the back of this recent RNS:

"The Company is currently progressing discussions with potential industry partners regarding a possible transaction involving a farmout or joint operation arrangement within the area of its Block 12 holding in Georgia. Because of this, some planned operations have been postponed pending the outcome of these discussions, including the execution of the planned six well stimulation program at its South Kakheti Complex. The Company will keep the market updated as these discussions unfold."

There was a conference call on Tuesday evening and I believe it's now on the web if you wish to listen. I have held with this as a complete gamble over the years though have traded an extra bit successfully as well. It's still a gamble as to whether all this will come off (SN hasn't been the most reliable of people in the past), but many seem to think that a consortium, including BP, is probably a done deal already for a JV or Farmout. The AGM is due to be announced in a couple of weeks or so, to be held by end of April. If this comes good then a lot of people who have been faithful over the years, and who have huge amounts in this, will do very well from it.

FRR has both oil and gas. The South Kakheti field has about 13 TCF of gas making it about the world's fifth largest gas field. This is all quite apart from the oil as well. It's too large for the majors to ignore and it is strategically placed for Europe and Turkey.
The Americans have been really quite active in the background. The difficult political situations seems to have been sorted now.

FRR also has permits in Moldova and Ukraine as well.

I am very hopeful now that this will come good as, for me, it will be a partial life changer having built quite a position in it.

Frontera Resources Files Notice of Feasibility of Commercial Production In Georgia

    Frontera Resources (FRR)
    Tuesday 11 April, 2017

    Frontera Resources
Notice of Feasibility of Commercial Production
    RNS Number : 1292C
    Frontera Resources Corporation
    11 April 2017

    FRONTERA RESOURCES CORPORATION

    Frontera Resources Files Notice

of Feasibility of Commercial Production In Georgia

    Houston, Texas U.S.A. - 11 April 2017

Frontera Resources Corporation (AIM: FRR), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, is pleased to announce that Frontera Resources Georgia Corporation, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Company, filed a Notice of Feasibility of Commercial Production ("The Notice") related to its operations in the country of Georgia.

The Notice relates to the Company's ongoing work within its Block 12 license area and has been filed with the Georgian state-owned oil and gas company in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Company's production sharing agreement. This is an important milestone for Frontera, as the Notice is primarily associated with operations targeting the substantial oil bearing Eldari Formation and other related geologic targets.

Frontera's work to date has produced notable results, demonstrating that analysis of long term cumulative production rates from key wells have now provided the basis for reservoir performance modeling. This supports the conclusion that commercial production associated with the extensively distributed Eldari Formation is feasible. These results and conclusions have been achieved through successful evolution of completion designs; advancement of integrated technical analysis of associated reservoir performance, and; related geologic, geophysical and petrophysical studies.

Based on the Company's recent filing of the Notice, technical work will now continue in order to establish feasibility of commercial production across all of Block 12 related to the Eldari Formation and its related geologic targets.

The Eldari Formation and other related targets are estimated to contain more than 1 billion barrels of original oil in place ("OOIP") as independently assessed for the Company by Netherland, Sewell & Associates ("NSA").

Steve C. Nicandros, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"This important Notice represents the results of our extensive historical investment and associated technical work in Block 12. We have long believed in the giant potential associated with the Eldari Formation and our recently concluded technical analysis has enabled us to validate and reach this important milestone.

Like the giant onshore plays that have successfully been uncovered with similar technical efforts in our home state of Texas over the past decade, uncovering the extensive potential associated with the Eldari Formation has been very exciting. In this context, our work represents yet another example of how such dedicated technological efforts can bring material, transformational results and ultimately make a meaningful contribution to Georgia's energy independence."

    6 September 2017

    Frontera Resources Corporation

    ("Company")

Mobilization of Workover Rig to Ud- 2 well

Frontera Resources Corporation (AIM: FRR), a European focused independent oil and gas exploration and production company, is pleased to announce the mobilization of a workover rig to Ud-2 well, situated inside the 950 square km Mtsare Khevi Gas Complex area located in onshore Block 12 in Georgia.

Block 12 covers 5,060 square km in the Kura Basin of eastern Georgia and contains existing significant gas discoveries in the Miocene-aged Gareji and deeper Oligocene-aged Maykop reservoirs.

Existing oil and gas export pipelines and domestic gas distribution infrastructure run through Block 12. A state-owned 230 MW gas power plant is also located in the Block 12 area, with a second plant of the same capacity expected to be built in 2020.

The Ud-2 well had been drilled by a previous operator with significant gas shows recorded while drilling in the Gareji and Maykop reservoirs between 2450m and 5289m, with drilling mud weights of 17,5 ppg and 17,9 ppg respectively. As previously announced, based on the Netherland, Sewell & Associates resource estimate, the Gareji and the Maykop reservoirs of the Mtsare-Khevi Gas Complex are estimated to contain 8.3 TCF of Gas in Place (OGIP) with 6.15 TCF considered to be recoverable.

The workover rig will execute operations to clean the well, retrieve the packer and set the bridge plug at 3340m, following which three gas-bearing intervals located between 2620m and 3320m will become accessible for perforation and extended testing. Of these intervals, two are in the Gareji and one is in the Maykop formation.

Workover operations are expected to be completed by the end of September, followed by well testing to commence in October.

The Company intends, within approximately 6 weeks after completion of well testing, to connect the Ud-2 well with the Mtsare Khevi gas processing facility which is situated18 km from the well location and is directly linked with the national gas distribution infrastructure. This will allow swift commencement of sales of gas produced from this well.

This announcement contains inside information for the purposes of Article 7 of EU Regulation 596/2014.

Andy (@blowster85 - see above post at 10.05 yesterday) has already sold for nearly 100% in 2 days!

Be careful not to get caught on spike.

No thoughts, sorry, as am in too many other shares. I bought a small number of FRR several months ago, when tipped, but sold for 80% profit and reinvested elsewhere.

Blowster is an experienced trader. He tries to get in early for the biggest gains and doesn't appear to hold for the end game. Most importantly, he doesn't seem to fall in love with any particular share, however, he's a full time trader and has lots of time for research.

Primary Bid did a placing at 0.58p. Reading through Twitter feeds, there's a lot of support from old holders, but someone called @easybrent is on the attack. He's often done some detailed research, as I've seen him have a pop at a few other shares, but if you counter-research his points thoroughly he sometimes backs off. (He had a real go at 88E when the project was stalled for the winter). TW, whatever you may think of him, is sometimes worth reading too, just for balance.

As ever, if the fundamentals are good, buy a small amount and leave for 2 or 3 years. Some people trade the rises and falls in between, but suddenly a good company will take off. Setting buy/sell limits and letting a good share do its own thing seems to be a successful approach.

Frontera Resources today announces that its ordinary shares will no longer be listed for trading on the AIM Market effective 25 January 2019. Accordingly, from this date, the Company will continue to advance its work as a private company.
